loose sand on dirt road....not a problem
pea gravel in corners.......not a problem
no guard rails, long drop offs..not a problem
wash board ripples..........sorta problem.
(short wheel base and tiny no leverage handle bars made riding a chore)

fishermen towing boats coming sideways using all of road
MAJOR PROBLEM.
i can deal with any 2 or 3, but all stacked up made for a no fun part of ride.
so i turned around and went back to pavement.
oh well.  its more of a sportster road anyway.

Brings back memories, rode this very road in 2005 with a RoadGlide and passenger. Was agreat trip and the RoadGlide was not easy to handle on those narrow gravel roads.  Met up with Hippo later on somewhere in Mesa. Thanks for posting the great pics

your welcome.
craig has some good pix of this road even further down .
i made it  to fish creek, he went all the way.
(ahem, on a ridgid pan.  i sorta embarassed)
although i got 15 years on him and the truck/boats were deciding factor.
will take stupid glide whole way when its not 115. apache lake is bueatiful.  worth spending a 1/2 day then on to miami/globe, my usual coffee shop stop.
course take the pavement on way home.

did you  do the whole loop to rosevelt lake?
