Title: yamabond
Post by: oldster on November 26, 2016, 10:32:23 AM
going to install thicker valve cover gaskets, wonder which grade of yamabond would be best for thin, thick and thin gaskets to be sandwitched together along with the mating surfaces of head and valve cover, thanks

I've not used Yamabond (et all) on gaskets, only metal to metal. On gaskets, especially in that application, I use Permatex Form-A-Gasket#2. Stays soft and moves with the sections.  Messy? Yes it is.....but a small amount does wonders.

I've had good results coating the gaskets with Hylomar medium.
