Not trying to hijack this thread but always heard good about the Supermax rear pulley fix. Not sure if it is still a service or the owner retired.
Anyone offer any info on this?

Quote from: calif phil on July 15, 2025, 06:16:41 AMDunlop claims they are excellent in the rain, since there is no rain in KS right now, I have no feedback.  My guess is they will perform great, at the expense of the mileage the American Elites got.

If they last 14000 +/- I'll be happy!
Probably take about a year to get there.

I'm kind of jealous that you get to put that kind of mileage on in a year.
More than kind of jealous, actually. Just straight up jealous!

I'm retired.
The weather is usually nice.
Momma wants me outta the house.
Very little traffic where I ride during the week.

:agree:  If you are not having any issues I would leave it be. In the big picture not very many early M8s had sumping issues, and the majority of the ones that did have very likely been updated already.

Speaking of rear shock air pressure, my '01 RoadKing also has air in the front forks, not sure if your Ultra does as well.

American Elite or AE2
Purchase 1 tire $30 rebate
Purchase 2 tires $60 rebate
Purchase 2 tires and any labor, such as mount and balance and get a $90 rebate. Good through August
Tire size does not matter as long as they are AE2 or American Elite

Don't think it applies to internet sales, check Dunlop site for a Dunlop Pro Dealer in your area.

Something else that You may want to consider is Working the Clutch a little if You haven't already.
Sometimes the Clutch Plates will be a little stuck.  Lubing the Clutch Cable, and The Lever won't hurt.
The Throttle Cables as well.
And Tire Air Pressure, as well as the Rear Shocks Air Pressure may require some adjustment.

Quote from: calif phil on July 04, 2025, 06:19:43 AMFYI  There are rebates going on now from Dunlop, UP to $90 on a set.
According to Dunlop there is only a couple sizes available for the rebate, 180/65/B18, 180/65B16, and 130/16front. Disclaimer: the person I spoke with had a heavy accent, difficult to understand.

That is great to hear, interested in a mileage report when you hit the wear bars.
