Planning a build w leftover parts. TC-A 2001 cases S-E 23600-00A 4 3/8" crank JE flattops. Ported 2011 heads 1,900" in Looking at 9,95:-1 S&S Beehives. Have a set used T-Man 625 on the shelf. S-E 25284-11 cam plate DTT. CV 44 or S&S E Bassani 2-1. Bike is FXR Opinions?
Well the Cam is a winner!
Used that cam several times.
Should run well.
Used that can in a 95" @ 10.25 compression, loved it. Should be even better in a 103. Pulled right out the back door 6k plus and still going.
You will like that cam, I have it in my 95CI 2001 FLSTCI and it pulls nicely from 1800 on. My compression is too high though, it's 10.8 with a ccp of 200 and I talked to TR and he recommends 195 as ccp for the TR625. But above all the cam is great, to avoid the pings under high ambient temps I'll switch to the Wood TW9BG as it has a slightly later closing time.

Hi Armin, thanks for posting. Just wondering if you do like the cams why you chose to swap out your cams for the woods instead of slightly reducing your compression ratio?
Thanks,
The CV 44 will work well & easy to tune.
Don't those cams like more compression? Maybe 10.2 to 10.5?
10.5 static is about the maximum, ccp should be 195 at max (like TR told me).
Armin.
Ok. Maybe squeeze it a little more then
We run that cam in my wifes 01 fatboy. 98" with WFO larry heads and 195cc. S&S Super E with T-Header,DTT ignition. Never stops pulling she loves it!! Travis

I don't see it listed on Tmans site for the 103.
Is it only for 88" - 103" builds?
Thanks
A 95" is a bored 88"

Apologies, I see that he does the 625 -PS for the later model TCs.
Thanks
10.5 cr is the norm for that cam.

Do you normally suggest headwork with this cam in a 103? Or do they well enough with stock heads at 10,5 ?
Thanks
If your heads are already off the engine and you can afford the headwork it is always a good thing to optimize the headflow giving the ports some decent work once you already achieved 10.5 static compression. Keep in mind that your springs must be capable of taking the cam lift of 0.625 so 0.65 springs wilwork fine.
