I'm installing the new HD RF system and I have a question about he wiring. As usual, Harleys instructions suck. In the tour pack you replace the wires to the speakers. However, they don't tell you which wires to hook up where. There are 2 pairs of speaker wires and one of them is shorter than the other. Does the longer wire pair go to the left side or the right?
You dont give the year and model particulars. Without seeing it, I suspect the right side for the long set because usually they lay under the liner and enter the tour pac on the left side. That may vary with the year and model though.
Sorry 2016 Tri Glide. The instructions say that the connector is on the right side so I figured the longer wire would be on the left.
Hook them up temporarily, put on some Led Zeppelin Whole Lotta Love, and you'll know right away if the rears match the fronts for left/right stereo separation.
Or, the long wires should go to the far side, it you want to use common sense. That's not as fun though!

Sorry nothing to add but sounds like humor only a road glide owner would spout lol.

Seriously though, there was a time one could find a set of instructions on the Motherships web site.
Not so much anymore though :(
