Title: 1998 Superglide Electrical Panel Support
Post by: Mikeg on September 02, 2019, 03:36:05 PM
I just got done welding up the support bracket behind the ignition, fuses and TSM. A few years ago the front portion cracked and I had it welded. I was riding yesterday and heard a noise. I found the same support had cracked again. This time in the rear portion. Anyone else have this problem? There is no replacement part for this...it is a part of the frame.

A picture of what is broken would be worth 1000 words.

Breaks such as this are often caused by excessive vibration. Try and eliminate as much as possible, exhaust mounting is most often a culprit, worn or out of alignment motor mounts, loose pegs, etc.

I take it this a Dyna model. Get a support plate between the motor and trans.
