Title: 58 mm throttle body on S&S 124 crate engine
Post by: Heinz on January 21, 2019, 05:45:18 AM
I'm looking for a second opinion. I'm putting a 124 S&S crate engine with 585 cams in my 2010 CVO Ultra Classic. I have a new electronic 58 mm Harley throttle body on the shelf with 5.3 g/s injectors. I'm wondering if this is an acceptable combination? I'd hate to spend more money on a perfectly matched throttle body and injectors if I'm only going to get a marginal performance benefit. Thanks.

Bolt it on with confidence.

Just open the flange area of the SE 58mm t-body to get a close match to the S&S intake port entrance without making them too thin. Safely 1.765" id. will be close enough.

I have a T124HC with headwork. That 58 works for me into the 150's
