Build should be pushing high 130's 140 squared. Build currently has Harley's VPC and SE heavy spring. Would Barnett extra plate kit be overkill or insurance?

Baddyna

Barnett X-plate kit / S-E spring  and AIM  VPC does it on my 124".  139/141 SAE

I'm using the Barnett extra plate Kevlar, plus the BDL ball bearing lock up on my built 120.
Running a fairly sticky sports compound tire , and appears to work well.

best clutch you can buy,BANDIT

:agree: Super happy with the Bandit on my 120" for the last 6 years. Their support is second to none.

I can't make my Bandit slip at 145 /150 ish. ..... aaaaannnd there is a new unused Bandit for sale in the swap section this morning that may work for you.

If you're making big power and adding a clutch that grabs a good basket should be included.

kd

Good point.  All supporting parts have to match the threshold.

I have a Bandit Sportsman in my RG with a 124.
Couldn't be happier. As they say, set it and forget it.

I see you deleted your post the same time I replied.
I agree with the "Bandit".
If your going to make some serious power...buy a Bandit and be done. I went down the clutch road in search of a clutch that would hold over 130 hp. I ran the Primo Pro clutch with their lock up, and a Barnett with their lock up. Neither has held up and delivered the power like a Bandit clutch has for me. I have clutch graph sheets from the dyno that proved it to me.
I also agree...when you get to the power level your talking about a stronger clutch basket is also needed.

I would like to add that the Bandit Sportsman is holding my power without a VPC type of device.
