Title: Poor chrome on DD7 cover
Post by: hdrider on March 30, 2017, 08:35:20 PM
I've had a DD7 in my 2010 Road King for 2 or 3 years now.  I like the transmission, but the chrome on the cover (where it says Baker 7 speed) is pretty much all flaked off and looks pretty trashy.  Is this typical of Baker's products or did I just get a bad chrome job from them?

No not typical, but chromers are not perfect that's for sure.

The chrome on my wife's Baker reverse transmission flaked off after a year.  One of them said they would rechrome it but then they charged me $150 for doing it.  I wasn't real happy.

I've had my Baker DD6 since 2012 and the chrome is in great shape. They must have changed their chrome guys.
