Clutch lever has a strange feel and clutch wont release. Looked at cam and bearing, all appears good. Adjusted clutch at cable and cam with no change. Could it be a throw out bearing, Push rod or clutch assembly issue? When bottoming throw out bearing adjustment screw, clutch lever wont move at all.

Correct, bottoming out adjustment will cease all movement, and can break the outer primary cover.
Sportsters have no push rod.
Induce max slack into cable ( collapse it). Remove derby cover and adjuster lock.
Rotate adjusting screw CCW until no resistance is felt, and lever is sloppy. Pull lever all the way in to bar. Rotate adjusting screw CW until lever starts to move, continue CW movement until slight resistance is felt. Back off 1/8T. Adjust cable until you have 1/8" freeplay at lever. Restore lock and derby cover. Test ride to verify proper operation.
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?

Thank you Rigid, I followed you directions but still hard clutch. The cam appears to move in an outward direction instead of inward towards the clutch pack. Would you know the clutch pack removal direction for this bike?

Cam rotation uses the outer cover ( primary) to overcome the spring plate pressure. Service manual (99484-14A) shows procedures and parts manual ( some are online, like this) show part numbers.

Thanks again, turned out the brass rivets broke and were jamming the clutch. couple of taps with the hammer and the clutch released. Thanks again for your input.
