Title: Baker 6 speed OD
Post by: JohnCA58 on April 08, 2021, 11:21:35 AM
I was removing my primary to replace the inner seal,  when removing my clutch basket the nut came off with ease and notice the trans main shaft was mostly cracked 3/4 around when the threaded portion of the main shaft came off with the nut.   Anyone else seen that happen before ?   last time removed was many years ago.

Was the nut torqued to spec, or an impact used?

That was a few years ago, but it was torque to specs.  :teeth:  being hallow shaft I wouldn't want ugga ugga that.

Seen this on a Cruise Drive [couple times] but not on a Baker.
