Are these the ones that were recalled for the glass reflector breaking? I saw that quite a few models were affected with that one.

I have that headlamp assembly on my older bike.  The bulb shield on mine is not chrome inside, the whole bulb shield is dark bronze in color.  It appears that newer versions of that headlamp assembly have different bulb shrouds from older ones and the older ones apparently pose no problem.  And the manufacturer did not change the part number when they changed the bulb shield.  It's easy enough to pull the headlamp and remove the bulb to see what the inside of your bulb shield looks like.
