Title: Drag pipes with baffles...who's still making them?
Post by: 1982fxr on April 22, 2021, 09:21:26 PM
Looking for something like 1 3/4" drag pipes with baffles, 40" long slash cut.  1995 fxdwg.

First looked up Cycle Shack and see they're out of business.  Who's currently making pipes like this?

And not fancy $800 or whatever.

Holy sticker shock!  Looked up Paughco, straight pipes plus baffles and heat shields (I'm in Phoenix), $500+ !!!

Out of the question.   I haven't bought bike parts in at least 5 years but jesus $100+ for a frickin heat shield?

Drag pipes don't need no stinkin' heat shields!

I did a quick search and found some from Drag Specialties for $80, not sure of quality or fitment, it also said some extra mounting clamps may be be necessary, so not sure what else needed to install them.
Years ago I picked up a set from Jireh Cycles, haven't checked with them for quite a while.

Old stock Cycle Shack pipes show up on Ebay from time to time. Takes some monitoring but you never know.
