Title: Do I have the Correct Cover?
Post by: Pynzo on March 15, 2009, 07:33:44 AM
I'm putting together a '57 bottom end and noticed that the gearcase cover has the # 25202-52A cast on the inside. My '59 parts book is calling for a # 25200-52 for K Models, and a # 25200-57 for Sportsters. what's the difference between the two? Do I need to look for a different cover? The cover I have does have the bushing for the idle gear shaft.

The 25202-52A is a casting number not a part number and that is what is used on 57 -62. So no you do not need to look for different cover
