Title: 1937 UL engine
Post by: gooru4speed on May 15, 2015, 11:58:19 AM
Hi guys,
I'm restoring a 1937 UL 74ci. The engine is pretty bad and I'm looking for a complete stock cylinder and piston kit. S&S used to have a kit but today is discontinued.

Can anybody suggest me where can I get a kit for my lovely oldie?

Thanks very much!
JR

If you have no luck with that, you can always sleeve your cylinders you have now. I've done that in the past and it works just fine.

The original 1937 cylinders for both the 74 and 80 use the same 13 fin casting (120-37, 120-371).
The UL small bore (3-5/16") cylinders can be safely bored to 80 (3.421875") + .060".
