Title: Advice on cam for SE Tire Shredder
Post by: HV on October 11, 2019, 01:26:59 PM
A Buddy of mine has a 2013 CVO with a 117 SE Tire Shredder kit.... 259 Cam....58 MM TB   5.3 Injectors High low heads...   It works great and has a load of power from 3500 up... He would like more low end off throttle ...top end is not a big deal for him.... Ive been told a SE 585 may work good...any suggestions ?   Tuning with a PV

What kind of static compression does that have Brian? TTS-150 might be his cams.

The 585 is a better choice keeping it HD for the goal. When I do head work for those builds we go up a point in compression and then they shine. That said the 259 is not the best cam in that duration of cams for the build, especially when the customer wants a big torque curve. Of course pipe is a major influence too, but that goes without saying.
