I am continually amazed at the Racers wh idle their Pure Race Bike, at 1000RPMs

course...I am amazed how many "air Systems" are Broken, requiring "airing up" every few minutes!!!
A Bit Higher idle is a Good Thing in Racing... No one is going to wait for ya if ya Stall it!!!!!
I love the sound of a good race motor firing up and going right to extra high idle, no Harley "lope", that's for sure.
