Title: dunlop elite 4 can i go wider

2003 flhciu stock rear is 130 90 16, ran metzlers 140 90 16  back to dunlops elite 4 anyone run them without any issues rubbing the belt or anything

I put the Dunlap 140 Elite on my 03 Ultra. No problems. In 04 they were stock

02 road king, I use a Dunlop American Elite 140  but use a.250 spacer between wheel & pulley; available from

I have the 140 Elite4 on my 1999 Ultra, no problems but I don't have the belt guard on.

I run an Avon Avon 150/70/18 76V on the rear of my '02 FLHT. Rear wheel is an 18" Airstrike front wheel from a '10 FLHX.  I do run the narrow belt/pulley but believe I could have kept the OEM wider belt/pulley without issues; it would have been close but might have worked.
