Hi All- I'm in the process of changing over my lights on my 03 ultra. I used the h4 bulb for the head light, and that works fine! I need to know what type of bulb to use for the 4.5 in passing lamps. Thanks in advance

When I went to change the passing lamps on my 03 ultra I had to wire in new sockets/reflectors for LEDs. I couldn't find any plug and play LEDs for the old style sealed beams. It's been a few years so plug and play replacements may be available now. Check Ebay and amazon.

I went different routes, first with aircraft landing lights from Napa, same size, sealed beam, didn't last on the springer, then went to a 55W spot, OK but too much draw I had to up the circuit breaker to 20A, lastly I went the LED route and never looked back....yet

FWIW you can buy the same thing on Amazon for less than 1/2 the cost.  Put them on mine over a year ago. No problems. The headlight comes with adapters.

I put a set of these in amber in on my 03 RK a few years ago and am very pleased with them so far, they fit very nicely. I believe you can also get them in clear. I have been using amber for years now because I think that anything that makes you different will get the attention of the other drivers.

Well at least that's the thought.

Pete these bolted right up? For what year model bike?

If I remember yours didn't fit for your bike, right?

Could be they changed the design from when I got mine?

Correct. Those Cree "Daymaker" amber passing lamps did not fit the 2012 Ultra EG. I would swap out in a heartbeat but don't want to eat another set.

If you want to change your passing lamps to amber you could just switch out the bulbs.

they are plug and play  Sorry I missed your reply, the ones I linked to was for early models with the 4" spots I think, the have the 5 3/4 headlight and spots combo too, I ordered the 7" by mistake - they shipped me the 5 3/4 no questions asked. I think they have headlight and spots for almost every model, year.
