Title: Kuryakyn informer
Post by: jrgreene1968 on March 02, 2024, 05:15:20 PM
Haven't been on my bike in a year or so, due to back surgeries etc, but today I got it out and washed it, and changed all the fluids etc. Noticed the gas gauge( kuryakyn informer ) flashing red light like its liw on gas, but its full. Wondering if anyone run into this before, or could point me in the right direction to troubleshoot it?
Bike is a 02 Flstf fatboy, the gauge has always worked perfectly, and was working when I parked the bike last. The volt meter that is part of the gauge is working fine.
Been so long since I put the gauge in, I cant even remember how it's connected to sender, but was wondering about troubleshooting the electrical part of it before I started pulling stuff apart and disturbing gaskets etc.
Btw.. haven't been on here in a minute.. when did the site change?

Figured it out.. corrosion had gotten in there. Pulled it apart, cleaned up the corrosion, put a little dielectric grease on it, all good now. Weird how stuff works perfectly, let it sit a year inside no less, and it quits
