Head to the dyno section and look over the 124" motor builds. Most have the specs of the compression, all have the cams used.

If the compression isn't locked in yet, I'd consider placing it in the 11.6:1 to 11.8:1 to area, and run the S&S 640 cams.

Wood 9F, T-Man 662-2.
Broad-band torque with either.
Sending a 2016 big-wheel bagger home today with a 124"/662 in it.

From what I read aren't those 2 basically the same cams

Is that compression OK for bad west coast gas?

The Tman 660 PS is close to the 662-2 but has better manners in the parking lot etc,,  Check the Tman site for more info on his cams.

Depends on how and who tunes. This should also be a question to whom ever will tune the bike.

Static compression is just the starting point for the cams to give a corrected compression value to the cylinder. At 11:1 generally the S& 640 would be a little soft on the bottom. What else matters is the bikes gearing, the weight of the bike, etc.

Again I would bring your tuner into that conversation. If he really doesn't know, then get a new tuner.

Wes Brown @ Cycle-rama will have what you need.
Give him a call and tell him what your build spec's are and where you want the power at. He will have cams that will fit your build.
I run his 630i cams in my 124 set @ 11.2 compression...but he has other cams that will work to get your desired outcome.

Wouldn't really know without details about the heads, pipe, throttle body and what your goals are. Sometimes in the same class of cams the SE266, TC-4103, or TC-4104 work very well. Have a few customers that put the CR650 in a 117" and it went over 150hp and a 126" same result. So there is a big YMMV with cam recomendations. Tolerance for noise and miles accumulated factor in. Tolerance for frequency of lifter changes another item. Many think they can run a .650 cam with 180#+ springs for 50K miles without service. I wouldn't.

TW9F with a +4 ,  some will agree or not but I ran that in a 11.3 comp 116"  and it hits real hard,  also steve at GMR ran this back in his 124 with a +4 advance key.

That is a good cam at about 10.5/10.6 cr.
Insta-torque, like a Wood 408.

What kind of bike?
What kind of riding style?
What do you do with the bike? You want your power upstairs from 4500-6500? You racing your buddies? Going to the track?
I have gone to 11:5 -12-1 on Cali 91 pump, and 12:5-1 at pump and a mix of the good stuff at 124".
