Title: 114 take offs dropped on a 107
Post by: hrdtail78 on May 11, 2023, 12:33:47 PM
Anyone drop on a set of 114 cylinders and piston to a 107 to make a m8 110?

Compression height difference: 1.080" on the 114/117 pistons, 1.143" on the 107 slugs.
114/117 pistons on 4.375 stroke wheels would add 1/16" to the quench distance. Even if you used .030" HG and no base gasket, the piston would still be .057" down from 0 deck.

Thanks guys.  Gave customer two options.  Force induction or 124 drop on.  He took the drop on option.

He will not be disappointed. Now, which cam? Luckily, only about 30 to choose from. And as long as he's going that far, horsepower is in the heads...........
