Title: Ultima 91-99 6-sp builders kit
Post by: xlfan on September 20, 2023, 12:15:15 PM
Has anyone experienced questionable quality issues with the Ultima 91-99 6-speed BT builders kit? Like bearing quality regarding durability? Or gear durability?

I put that trans. kit in my 95 Road King, when I started testing their 127" engine. I probably have 50,000 hard miles on the trans. with NO problems. 4 th. gear tends to be a little noisy, but I find that on the Jim's trans. also.

I have a bout 40k on a complete six speed Ultima trans. Owned it since new. I've gone through one shifter pawl spring.  I changed out the main drive bearing when I changed that and went with a stock pawl spring.
