I have always used the head bolt torque when bolting on torque plates for honing or boring cylinders. Has anyone experienced how much an 80 ci cyl distort when at running temp? Or what effective torque spec an 80 ci cyl sees @ running temp?
i do the same torque as if installing and can't comment on temp measurements but i do see about a 1/2 thousand change on bore measurement with installed in torque plates and with out installed when i bore and hone them
