Title: Were 2018 FLHX OEM headlights dual burn?
Post by: Maddo Snr on March 06, 2019, 01:27:00 PM
I have to do a LED conversion on a 2018 FLHX next week, were the stock halogen headlights dual-burn?

The customer-supplied headlight is a separate feed type lamp so I'll need a converter to make the bike dual burn if the stockers were fed from a changeover type switch.

I don't have a 2018 handy to check.

Cheers all, Pete.

Don't know about 18. but just changed one in a 17 flhx and it was dual burn. put a daymaker in so the wiring harness came with it and only had a single plug on the light.

pardon my ignorance, but what do you mean by Dual Burn? The type that has a H9 and H11 bulbs in them?

I believe it means on high beam both low and high lamps will illuminate.  My LED bike headlight does, so does one of my cars.
