2012 limited radio goes mute faceplate still lite up like everything is normal turn it off and on comes back on sometimes for a while sometimes a few seconds or not at all , bumpy road or smooth doesn't matter a friend with a 2011 has same problem . Anyone have this problem , how did you fix it ?
Probably the amp chip. Common issue with the HK radio. Some options are after market replacement or Ironcrossaudio.com for repair of yours. They offer a $165 repair option through eBay or I believe it's $240 through their website. Put this number 141774600929 into the eBay search box to find their listing.
The amp chip costs about $5 if you have the tools and skill to replace yourself. It's the big upright chip at top of pic.
The sound board inside is broken, I had same problem and sent it to Ironcross audio in N.C. Give them a call.

Where do you find the amp chip?
Kinda late but just saw your post. I get them in 2 pack on eBay for under $15 shipped outta Texas. Do a search for TDA7563.
