(I don't know much/anything about Milwaukee-Eight motors or bikes.)

Assume you have a (mostly) unmodified 2017 Twin-Cooled Milwaukee-Eight motor (i.e. liquid-cooled, not oil-cooled).

What would be the easiest way to determine if is a Twin-Coooled Milwaukee-Eight 114 motor (from a CVO) or a Twin-Coooled Milwaukee-Eight 107 motor without, or with the least amount of, disassembly?
And without looking at and using the VIN number as the determining factor.

I think, but am not sure, the 114 comes with a "114" medallion" - what kind of medallion does a 107 come with?  A medallion is easy to change, though.

If I am not mistaken the CVO engines have a metallic black powder coating and the none CVO has just black powder coating.

Lot of views, not so many replies. I don't know about M8's but I'll have a crack.
Does the 107 have 9 plate clutch and the 114 have 10 plate clutch? Is it possible to tell through the derby?

Greetings,

2018 Road Glide Ultra had 107.  No special markings.  2019 Road Glide Ultra has 114.  Derby cover has 114 on it.

The CVO 114 in 2017 has what's called black granite with highlighted fins. The 107 is just black with or without highlighted fins depending on the bike it's in.
