Title: 1/4 mile?
Post by: VernDiesel on November 18, 2019, 11:02:17 AM
What range should a stock or typically modded V-Rod run in the 1/4 mile as in ET & MPH?

Mid to low 11s depending on bike and rider. Pre 08 were a tad quicker due to the narrower tire size. The 1250cc had the fatter tire which killed an gains from cc increase.

Thanks for the YouTube link. 11.23 @ 117 is getting it.  More roaring v twin sound than expected to.

I've ridden with a few that had aftermarket pipes, and they can really bark, especially when they get near the 9000 rpm redline.

I rode on the pipe side of a V-Rod with a CFR pipe once.  It was the loudest freaking bike I've ever heard!
