Title: PRIORITY when selecting SERT or TTS map
Post by: kdietz on April 10, 2009, 07:21:29 AM
What priorities are used when selecting a SERT or TTS map for an engine with non-Harley sizes (i.e. 106,107,116,124,131,etc) or non-Harley cams, pipes, efi size, etc.

I would think that selecting maps with the correct/closest timing tables would be the most important goal. VE's, AFR's can be modified with autotuners, Twin Scan, etc.

Which of these would you give highest priority?

Stroke? 4" vs stroked?
Cam? lift, opening/closing timing, duration?
Displacement?
Throttle Body/Injectors?
Pipes?

Which is worse.....choosing a Map with too much advanced timing or too much retarded timing? Which would contribute to excessive heat?
