CC seems to know what they're doing - auto stuff has always been great for me and their SE stuff seems to work fine as well

Well I have found the time to get around to the testing Will set up heads for 522 lift 248 plan to test it and the 246 cam along with the 1-2 others , if time permits .  Another 124 will get +1 mm valves in the heads set comp ratio to 11.6 Ward ported 64 and billet cat . I want to test on the stock heads first up so see how it does then with ported .  I need more time in the day HA HA

Hello, new to the forum.... did you test the Comp Cam 248C? If so, what were the numbers? I've chosen to go with that one instead of the 246A on a 126" build...not really much info on the M8 comp cams but we all know they are a leader in automotive cam grinds.

CAM SPECS:

248/254 Duration

INTAKE.          Exhaust         Lift
18/61.5.         50/12.5.         .522

Cheers!

Steve

Have the 248 in testing now. Initial test was very strong with no problem down low.

I hated the cam  there are much better cams out there with a better curve . made 150/140 in a 124 but not over all happy with shape of the curve tested 3 of them now and they all have an odd dip out around 4500 then pick back up

Ours the bike made 111hp at 4k then went into a sumping fit. Bad crank. It is being fixed now and back to Russel.

Thanks, good info... will be following if you have any updates. I'm basically looking to be at least in the 140\140 club.... I ride hard from start to redline a very large percentage of the time.. so, when the description advertises 2000-6400, it caught my eye plus their cams are very reasonably priced for what's advertised.

That's 150hp? What was your compression and type of exhaust for those numbers? Which tuner? head work?

Here's one that I tuned with Comp 248's. To each his own but I liked it in this 128" Street Glide for the intended application. This customer is a drag racer.

Thanks, I like what I'm seeing...like the fact it goes beyond 6k! I'm having those installed on a 126" by Suburban. If I don't like them, I can always go back to my ACE— Wood cams.

Appreciate it bro!

Comp was 11.4
Ward +1 heads billet cat it is on my FB page under the company .
TTS tuner
there are much better cams that provide the same peak number with more area under the curve .
Each to their own  I test a bunch of cams just did the woods 9960  it make's power up top the sheet looks ok for Hp  nothing under 3500 not the best manners . the comp was not as bad .

540 going in next hope to see good results with it

I just talked to Wes about the 540-2 cam for use in my 131. I'm planning on running Suburban pistons and setting up at 11.3 or as close as I can.

Did you run this cam and how does it compare with the S&S 550 if you know.

Thanks in advance for any info.

Still like the 248C. The bike we tested went on to make 140 square on russells dyno. It has a history of being very stingy. Customer wrecked the bike and we are going to start over now on a 2020 117 up to 130. Will run the CR482 as I have made 155-160 with that cam very consistently with similar builds, pipe important and same to be said about the intake system

I love the CR-482.  Very nice cam for all around riding.  I have put 17,500 miles on my bike since the build with your head work.

A friend is running the cr480 in a 124" with Wes's mild heads, made 136 hp and 154 tq, the torque line comes early and stays strong to the end, he is very happy. Of course I had to tell him the 482 came out right when he was finishing it up. He's thinking about maybe giving it a try, but he is really happy with it right now.

Fuel Moto Road and Track 2/1. Tuner said a Billet Cat would help the line and output even more, but was still impressed with the  numbers and the great rideability of the bike. The owner has a hard time keeping it off the limiter, and has had to retrain his brain to work on short shifting.
