Title: Low Voltage
Post by: BradLH on October 06, 2019, 02:01:40 PM
2018 Street Glide with 25,000 miles, while riding today the low voltage light came on.  Needed to make a stop while voltage gage was showing 11 volts and took a chance shutting it down.  Started fine but by the time I'd ridden 10 miles home the voltage had dropped from 11 to 10.5.

Bike is still under warranty so I'll have my dealer do the repair but I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar issue.  If so what's the fix.

Possibly a loose battery cable, but more likely a bad regulator.

Given the existence of the warranty, I would check the battery connections (as suggested) and if they are clean and tight take it by the dealer.

Also, verify that the plugs are tight going into the voltage regulator.  Hard for them to come loose but you never know.
