Title: Parts Source
Post by: Don D on January 20, 2015, 07:55:17 PM
Looking for good parts source for valves and guides for a 1984 1000cc IH. Prefer cast iron guides

Kibblewhite does some nice valves and guides for the Ironhead.
Good concentricity, and meat left in the guide bores for final sizing. Intake guide is longer too, which slows down the wear.
They also do (or did) some nice stock replacement springs, which worked well with P, PB+, and R grinds.
Seat inserts need to be relatively thin to avoid breaking into the port floor. Rowe used to sell suitable ones, but don't know where they were sourced from.
Short side radius is, erm, interesting....
