I have a 99 1200 case West Wiseco 10 / 10 to 1 compression Dome top pistons stage 2 thunderstorm heads dynatek 2000i ignition module twin Tec single fire coil Primo clutch and right now I'm running Andrews N8 cams I'd like to change them I think to a cam with more business in the front what do you think would be a good fit

Better low/mid range? N2 works better @ 10:1 than the N8.

I was thinking possibly the N4 possibly an n6 or the SE 536s or the fueling 515
Check out Hammer. Their 560 may be what you are looking for.

Jesse, look at reply number 1, he knows his stuff.
SE 536 cams work very well. :up: You just need to be sure on valve to valve, and valve to piston clearance.

You will get more "in the front" if you set the compession to match that N8.
10.5 is where we set those here, but be aware, with those T/Storm castings, you will see a hp biased curve, most times.

Thanks for the info on tne N8s. They're no so popular in rubber mounts since all the latest offerings came out from great companies like Hammer and NHRS etc.
If the N8 is set up correctly at 10.5 compression, are they still a good cam choice for late model 1200? How do you see them performing when you do them in your shop?

Im also looking at the 536 cams. Do you know if 10.5 is the ideal compression ratio for these cams?
