Are there any reports of trans fluid migration with 2018 M8 Softails?
Yes, recently on another forum.
Not 100% sure but I think I lost 5 oz over 4000 miles using std Harley trans oil. I am keeping a eye on it but it's going to be a little while before I know for sure. Max
I believe the fluid transfer is only on the hydraulic clutch the softails are cable.

Are you sure that was fluid transfer and not sumping?

Just drained my primary oil on my sportglyde after 4000 miles and found the 7 fl oz I lost in the gearbox . I was running oem std gearbox and primary oil. I have fitted a breather and a fat push rod and we will see what happens. Max
I'd like to know if Softails are having the same tranny problems as baggers. Shameful hijack sorry.

I haven't used the oem mod I installed a breather at the front of the clutch basket. Max
Sorry to those that read my earlier response; I was indeed thinking of sumping, not transfer. To clarify, I have not heard of any Softails with transmission transfer.
