Title: Hi from Germany
Post by: hd474 on September 29, 2019, 09:23:27 AM
Hi
my name is Jens from Dusseldorf in Germany. Thanks for accepting me here.

Some things about me... I'm an automotive engineer and ride my 1980 1200 FXE now for 37 years. During the time it was completely customized and I had the wish to have it back to factory condition.  Instead of doing so I bought me exactly the same model (same year) 3 years ago and built it back to 100% stock. My current project is a 1950 EL, which I'm also building back into factory condition.
So now I'm prowd owner of 3 HDs with an average age of 49 years...

Thanks

Jens

Howdy, welcome from Arkansas, USA

Sounds like you enjoy the older rides. Well, if you have questions, there are some tech sections for the older generations as well as General which is good for just about anything HD.

Same bike for more than 37 years

Same year, same model like the blue one, but completly restored to factory condition.

Work in progress. This was a bucket bike. I'm just assembling it, to see if everything is there. After that i will diassemble it again and do it right. I know some parts are wrong for 1950, this will be corrected during the restortation

If you wanna see the story of the red one, I made a short video for a friend in the states:

Looking forward to getting answers here for all my panhead questions...

Jens
