Title: No start when hot
Post by: northbrun on September 05, 2020, 03:37:54 PM
02 flsts springer. Carberated 60k miles. Runs fine until I shut it off. It won't start until it cools down. Turns over fine. No spark. I'd think if it was a coil it would shut down as it heated up. But it doesn't any ideas?

Bad coil. You have a "bad coil" typical problem.

:agree:

One way to troubleshoot is to pour cold water on it when it won't start. If it start immediately after, it's the CKP.

Thanks to all. Have a weekend ride planned next week so I ordered a sensor and I'm putting my faith in my angels. So we'll see  :chop:

Do the test before you remove it and you will know.
