Title: guick ? on seat
Post by: moose on January 21, 2019, 02:51:35 PM
I've had this seat for about 40 some years and not sure of the year of the seat
the bottom has a yellow harley stamp on it with a patent pending stamp was in a plastic bag for all that time
does not look as if it has ever been mounted

It looks like a mid 50's "Super Soft" buddy seat.
A restoration guide I have says used from 1954-1959 with a part number 52503-54

When we were chopping Harley's, those seats made great bar stools. Probably worth a small fortune today.

If that is gold piping it could be a one year only '65 seat for a '65 they are worth a lot. I have one in original condition.
