going from a 408-6 bike runs good 10.8 compression 117 ci looking to swap for more hp right side will 662-2 be to lazy down low or is 11.0 or more needed to make it shine 2014 dyna
I've ran both of those cams before in the same engine. Neither of them were soft on the low end and they both pulled hard out the back door. One just made more valve train noise than the other did. Those cams will perform very close to each other. I wouldn't suggest going any higher than 11.2 on the -2's.
I've used both of those cans. Unfortunately not in the same engine. 408s in a 95" @ 10.5 compression and running the 662-2 in a 120" @ 11.3. They both pull hard, not soft on the bottom at all and that's in a roadking, your dyna is a lot lighter should be a blast for ride for you
We sign off at 11.0 with the 662-2.
Another 124"/662 leaving today to Liverpool, NY.
Out of curiosity, is this a hot rodder, weekend cruiser, or two up machine?
If you do end up making the switch, let us know the results!!!!
