Title: Brake Line 1980
Post by: nucklhead13 on September 03, 2013, 07:39:28 PM
My 1980 1000CC Ironhead sits in 1 1971 deag bike frame. It still has the stock 1980 swing arm and rear brake. Yesterday I was polishing the brake and noticed the rear brake fluid hose was cracked and falling apart. That made me look in the manual. The rubber hose shown was used in 1979. It didn't show exactly what was used in 1980 to 1983. I bet it was the steel line like I allready use from the rear brake on the forward control to the brake light switch. I need to understand how the brake fluid made it from the brake light switch to the rear brake so I can get some of it from an auto parts dealer and set it up yself. Does anyone know that?

I found an auto parts shop with a poster that says brake hose made. I just need to take the hose which needs replacement in to see if they can match it.
