Title: 04" primary gearing in a 1992
Post by: Deye76 on March 31, 2020, 01:38:13 PM
Last year I changed the primary ratio in my 1992 FXR from the OE 3.37 to 3.15 with parts including the clutch from a 2004 bagger, but still have a primary chain from a 92'.. Are the primary chains different length between those model years?

Ronnie's parts book says the chains are the same part #

Same chain. They added 1 tooth on the motor sprocket, and took 1 tooth off the clutch.
