Service manual only states measurement in inches or mm. Does anyone know approximate volume needed each forkleg (for purchasing purpose)

Likely 3 1/2 pints to get the job done with dampers pumped dry. Buy 4 pints.
No 06 pdf but my 04 pdf states Type E. As far as I know, same fork.  If you want it firmer , use the SE brand.

Thanks alot Ron.
I have seen  E stated as both 10w and 20w, and SE heavy duty as 30w. Do you know for a fact what it really is?

It was stated to me that E is in the 11w and the SE is somewhere in the 15-20w area.
I know what you mean regarding facts. Hell, some claim the E as a 5w oil.
04 SE DEUCE, has a better handle on oil viscosity , with centi-strokes and all that. Very suspension knowledgeable.  All I know for sure E is not 20w.
