What are all the parts I'd need to do a Forward to Mid Conversion on a 2010 Fatbob?
inner primary, outer primary (compatible with mids), splined shift shaft, linkage, peg mounts, brake rod, and if yours is different.....a shifter lever. Pegs are the same and you will need gaskets. Don't forget about the little mid shaft gasket.
Thanks Jason.
Does the Rear Master Cylinder just get relocated?
ON the Splined Shift Shaft what is involved in installing it?
I bought a forward control kit, and it had a long rod to the master cylinder from the forward control , so I didn't have to relocate it.
Master cylinder stays put.
Just remember to put the splined shaft in before you put the inner primary on...ask me how I know that! Duh!

Jason covered it very well yet there's another consideration...your exhaust. The stock exhaust on the 2010 FXDF was designed only for forward controls, same for the Wide Glide for that matter. Here's a photo from the 2010 sale brochure:

If you're still interested go to the Harley SIP and search on the "J03509" installation sheet, the one for installing Dyna forward controls. It describes all that's involved in going from mids to forwards, so just work the process backwards.
Thanks for the heads up on the exhaust.
Fortunately it is already long gone.
What about converting mids to floorboards with heel and toe shifters, like on a police bike or Switchnack.

Switchback floorboards will mount on any any '06 and later Dyna, with the usual considerations for exhaust, etc. They use both the mid and forward control mounting holes. But the Dynas normally only use a toe shifter.
There's not bolt-on heel/toe shifter for the FLD footboard system. Some guys have fabbed one up, but I'm not sure exactly what's involved.
