Probably already know, but 06's had the 8 degree versus 25 degree injector issues as well.

What is the voltage at the battery when the starter button is pushed? Have you tried jumping the battery as a test?
The battery is always a suspect, especially when it can't possibly be the battery. 12.25 standing volts on the battery is about 50% charged. 12.5v is 70% charge.

Shovel Head / Re: Belt drive toasted
Last post by motorhogman - Yesterday at 12:34:52 PM
I converted my 73 Super Glide to primary belt drive. No oil in primary and vented the cover.  After tearing up a couple of Primo belts that used an idler system I switched over to Karata. Years and thousands of mile later no problems. Most all 2 up riding.  Sold the bike o a friend and he ran it until he passed away a few years ago. I can tell you he wasn't easy on it either.

General / Shimming 39mm Fork Bushings
Last post by GLFLSTCI02 - Yesterday at 03:26:30 AM
Has anyone out there shimmed the play out of their fork lowers? I replaced the bushings in my forks this winter with new ones and although the same brand as the previous ones these have much more play, to the point where I have a clunk over bumps and it actually chattered dragging the brake going slow in traffic downhill to a stop sign.
I have a set of 12" feeler gauges 1/2" wide on the way for shim stock along with new bushings and seals so there is no question whether or not I am going to give it a try, but I would like to hear from anyone who has actually done it. I am particularly interested in what approach they took on the top (outside) bushing.
Anyone have any experience with this that could give me a few pointers?

TIA,
Gene
