Quote from: FXDBI on April 21, 2024, 10:01:37 PMFor interest sake anyone know what the flat rate hours is to change out the gear cassette on a 2008 Electra glide?  Thanks Bob

The closest info that I have is labor code 4366. Replace main drive gear and/or bearing 3.4 hours.

To change the main drive bearing of course the cassette comes out. And most transmission swaps would include the main drive gear and a new bearing. If not, probably knock about 1.0 or 0.7 hours off.

Need to figure out how to recalibrate your BCM for the RPM difference @ speed. It used to be as simple as changing the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) data in the map with TTS or PowerVision, but HD quit using a VSS with the 2021 touring models. Might be worth a call to Baker to see if they have any options.

New Baker Grudge box added in the fall.  Cruise stopped working "most of the time" and I just isolated yesterday that it still engages at 5th gear, but not 6th when I really need it most.

I too have a 2013. Mine is a Softail Deluxe and I noticed it took some cranking to get it to fire up. I discovered that if I hit the starter button and let it turn over once or twice and then stop. Then hit the starter button again it fires right up (i.e. compression has been released). Try this and see if it helps. It sure works on my Deluxe. Good luck.

Go to the Harley SIP, get past the country, language screens.

When you get to the page that has the search box in the upper right hand corner, search on the word "handlebar".

The first hit that should come up is a downloadable 230+ page pdf catalog titled something like HANDLEBAR_PDF_en_US_MAR2024.

That has tons of information regarding handlebar dimensions and associated cable lengths.

That and the OEM parts finder (for OEM part numbers) might be helpful to consider options.

Remember that parking lot maneuvering with long buckhorn or pullbacks means the turns are a long reach and a worse forward stance.  Drag or a more conventional bar on pullback dog-bones may be a better solution.  With that comes another set of problems though.  With the loss of leverage it means with a heavy front end or wheel a bit of exercise at slow speeds or parking will be the norm and not for the weak.
