Can you warp or bend a rear belt pulley?

I have seen the inner ring come loose and make the pulley look warped.........just needed to be tack welded back on.

I think the ring is steel and the pulley is cast aluminum, and it must be peined / center-punched back on.

the answer is it will slightly bend, warp  before cracking ,its only alloy , if suspect replace
