Title: Using AFF and CLI to Tune
Post by: Rutcutter on December 01, 2018, 06:27:17 PM
Are any of you guys using CLI to tune. If so, would you be willing to give me a few tips on how to do it?
Thanks.

CLI is only pointing out how close ve is to matching the requested AFR, be it Lambda or CLB. Not so much for tuning but verification of progress and even with 100s it doesn't mean it's actually tuned well.  I've had 100 readings in both before ,yet poor running so it's more of a case of using an AFR the engine agrees with then running logs until the CLI dial into the typical +/-5, preferably closer. So, I guess basically I use it to watch the tune dial in. My case, to my chosen CLBs that offer cool idle, eliminate light load stutter and leaned out for cruise economy.
I'm a self tuner so take what you will out of my opinion as it may not be gospel.
