What's a ball park price in the USA for having a stock 80 C/I  shovelhead motor complete "stock"rebuild? Remove and replace engine, no performance parts.

Your best answer will come from one of the Inde's in our vendor section. First task will be finding someone that really "knows" and has experience with a Shovel motor, top to bottom, and knows what to look for inside.

When I was looking into it I got quotes up to 5 thousand dollars just to rebuild the engine. Did not include R&R the engine and that was just standard quality parts. With me doing the disassembly and assembly I ended up with around 5000 bucks wrapped up in mine but were talking total top quality including velva touch lifters and having the bottom end balanced which I highly recommend.
