It is with great sadness that I need to let you all know that Lonnie (site member BUBBIE) passed yesterday. I spoke with his wife Joan today about his fight with cancer, his last ride in March and about how much he enjoyed that last ride. She also let me know how much Lonnie enjoyed all of you and this site. He was an active participant and a generous supporter for many years now.
I got to ride with Lonnie on one of my annual cross country treks. Jim and I met up with him and had a nice dinner, told stories and the did some riding together the following day before parting ways. He was a friend and will be missed.

Bubbie and I connected thru another forum years ago. We had similar thoughts about all things Harley, and called each other "brothers from another Mother". I came to this forum at Bubbies suggestion that it was the most knowledgeable site on the web. We never got to meet face to face, but a good Canadian friend alternated visits to my area and Bubbies so it seemed like we had met.
RIP Bubbie, my Brother from another Mother, and Long Live Redline Heavy Shockproof for your HD transmission!!!

Bubbie - RIP - going to miss all your post as well as all the advice and help you've given me and so many others!!! You will definitely be missed.
I just recently scrolled down to this section.. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Bubbie's passing..
As I am a fairly recent member to this forum , I enjoyed and look forward to his posts and advice, and of course a little banter... As can be seen from the above posts, he was respected by many members here, and will be sadly missed ... I installed a set of SE 255 cams, (which he had soft spot for), in my bike, and asked some question regarding installation ,etc ... He PM me a number of times , and went out of his way to to lead me in the right direction, for which I am extremely grateful... I did not know him personally ,, but his memory and kindness has made it all the way Down Under ...
To his family and friends ,, please accept my sincere condolences ...
rip. bubby
