Title: 1993 FXR kickstand spring replacement
Post by: solid_knowledge on June 03, 2021, 05:06:45 PM
Hi All. I have a 1993 FXR that has a kickstand spring that is stretched out and dragging the stand when going around corners pretty badly. The spring attached to the eyelet on the stand is visibly stretched and needs to be replaced. My question is that is it possible, or have members had any luck replacing the spring without pulling the inner primary?

Thanks a bunch.

Take the center bolt out of the front motor mount and lift the engine up and you will have access to change the spring.
Taking the inner primary off is not required and would be a lot of work to change a spring.
