Title: Replacing exhaust gasket
Post by: jmsusi on August 31, 2015, 01:36:55 PM
I just installed a V&H aftermarket exhaust.  Reused the exhaust gaskets which were a bit snug for the new pipes. So I used WD40 to help fit them in.  Started the bike - all's well except now I got smoke coming out of the exhaust manifold. Did I ruin my gaskets (WD40 warning - flammable)?  Or will this smoke wear out eventually?

The smoke will be gone by the end of a good ride, and no harm done to gasket, or bike.
